Smt Neha Parikh is an accomplished dancer, well-acclaimed Bharatanatyam teacher and the artistic director of “Chidambaram Nritya Kala Academy” founded by her in 2005. Her authentic teaching style, uncompromising discipline, and penchant for high standards have made her studio a reputed destination for eager dance students. She gives a lot of emphasis to the neatness of lines in nritta, the geometrical patterns drawn by the dancer’s body and crisp movements.

Neha has a Master’s in Fine arts in Indian classical dance from Nalanda Institute (Mumbai), whose founder is Padma Bhusan Dr. Smt Kanak Rele. Neha had the opportunity to learn under various eminent Gurus from Nalanda like Smt Tangamani Nagarajan, Smt Malati Agniswararan, Shri Vaibhav Arekar & Smt Ambika Vishwanathan. As a dancer, Neha had several multifaceted experiences in higher academics, stage performances, classroom instructions & choreography.

She taught the senior students at Nalanda dance research center for 9 years and has extensively performed along with the Nalanda troupe. She has played major roles in the prestigious productions of Nalanda, such as Silappadikaram, Santavani, Kanchanmrig, and Swapnavasavadattam. Along with her teacher Shri Vaibhav Arekar, she was also part of a Hindi theater production called Shyam Sakhi. As a dedicated dancer, Neha was awarded the “Excellence Award” from IANH and was also presented the “Spotlight on Excellence Award” from Lokvani e-magazine.

Besides Bharatanatyam, she also teaches Mohiniattam - a beautiful dance style from Kerala. Although trained in classical dance, she has a natural flair for Folk and Bollywood dances from India. Her versatility and unique style of teaching draw her students to her as a teacher. Under her patient teaching, her students have evolved to be graceful dancers both in Classical as well as Bollywood dance.

Her students have won several dance competitions like NEMA, IANH, SWARAAG KANE to name a few in both classical and bollywood and have received accolades for their performances.

Neha is prestigiously listed as a traditional artist in the New Hampshire State Arts Council. She has been an integral part of various fund raisers by non-profit organizations such as Vision Aid Kanchi Kamakoti Seva Foundation, HTNH & The Multiple Sclerosis Society. Under her able guidance, many of her students have successfully finished their Arangetram and many are on their way to reach this milestone!!

Neha was the 1st dance teacher in this region who conducted a Duo Arangetram in 2020 amidst a pandemic (COVID) with all the safety measures with limited in person audience and a large virtual audience. The show was a great success.
