Nithya began learning dance at the age of 5 with Smt. Neha Parikh. Nithya’s passion for dance has grown immensely through the years thanks to her teacher, and dance has become a major part of her life. Nithya has participated in many cultural events in the greater boston area, like Indian Association of New Hampshire, New England Malayalee Association, Tamil Makkal Mandram, and more. Although Nithya loves Bharatanatyam, Neha has also been integral in introducing Nithya to Bollywood dancing, which Nithya also loves and would like to continue both Bharatanatyam and Bollywood in college, hopefully a fusion.

Nithya graduated from Nashua High School South this past June, and will be attending Carnegie Mellon’s School of Computer Science in the fall. She is very passionate about learning, and sharing her knowledge with others through teaching kids math and programming. In the future, Nithya is eager to discover the intersection between technology and education, and research how she can utilize technology to personalize education. She is excited to continue dancing in college and use it as a destressor when classes become difficult.
