This piece is in honor of Lord Krishna, and all the annoyances that the girls dealt with from him. The title
literally means “Endless playful kid”.
Fruit episode: Krishna gave a fruit to a girl, but while she was trying to eat it, he knocked it from her hand.
He would then return it to her many times saying it was all hers, and everytime steal it back. Finally, when she
begged for the fruit back, he innocently acted as though he wanted to ensure the fruit was sweet enough for her,
and took big bites from it, and gave it back to her. She was obviously disgusted to eat it now! This is
Krishna!
Flower episode: Krishna brought a flower for a girl and showed it to her, and said that if she closed her eyes
he would put it in her hair. Yet, when she closed her eyes, he went and called a different girl, and put it in
her hair and admired her. When the first girl opens her eyes, Krishna acts as though he did nothing wrong and
the other girl was a menace. Non stop Krishna!
Braid and saree episode: Krishna pulls the braids of girls from behind, and when they turn around to see who it
is, he disappears, and is in hiding. He then finds girls with beautiful, brand new saris, and after admiring
their saris, he throws muddy water all over them. Again Krishna!
Ants episode: Krishna would play his flute, creating music like overflowing nectar. And, as people listen to it,
it feels as though they are drunk and in a trance, and almost fainting. They listen with their eyes closed, and
mouths open, and while in this state, Krishna would get red ants and put them in their mouths. Who else other
than Kirhsna!
The song closes with the poor girl asking if the audience has ever seen so much mischief as what Krishna causes.
Nithya’s remarks:
This is definitely my favorite piece! It is so fun to portray Krishna and his mischievousness, but also the girls and their reactions. I also really love the choreography and Neha aunty’s creativity when coming up with the choreography (Thank you Neha aunty!). This piece has really pushed me to improve my abhinaya skills, and since I didn’t think my facial expressions were very good, I was shocked Neha aunty picked this piece in the first place, but I’m so glad she did and that I was able to learn so much through this item.
